Lagos Fashion Industry Night Out
The seminar, according to the organizer and facilitator, Mrs Joan Okorodudu, “is to teach aspiring models and practicing ones the basics about the industry so they will
know what they are getting into.”
Mrs Okorodudu, the Managing Director of Isis Models, said:
“We want to change the mind-sets of people who are either running the modelling
industry or young models who are upcoming or those there already. We want to
teach models about contract, certain entrepreneurial skills which will come in
handy by the time they retire from modelling or when jobs are scarce.”
Some of these skills, she said, include styling, make up,
designing, hair styling, photography, acting among others.
We will be talking on Modeling in general and on essential
topics that will assist models get ahead in this industry.
Also, on Friday the 25th of May, will see 20 models walk for
the debut of Lagos Fashion Industry Night Out. The events will also be at Ember
Creek at Landmark Towers on Water Corporation Road.
At the Model Seminar, models will be taught about Runway
101.
Runway moves, postures, model walk, posing.
Modeling Genres: What type is good for you. The Do's and
Don'ts of of becoming a model, health tips, skin care, nail care, routines, make up
techniques.
Plus size models are invited and Temi Aboderi Alao will be
taking on the topic on the rise of PLUS
models .Models will also learn how to avoid model scams and work in the real
world of modeling,understanding how modeling agencies work, representation, composite
cards/Z cards,vouchers, How to dress or go see an agent for interview, make up, styling, photography, good Polaroid is a must have.
Former top models and industry who is who will be at the
event.The company Recharge and get paid will be there to teach models on how to
make money selling recharge cards on all platforms MTN, 9Mobile, Airtel ,GLO
,DSTV and other payments like electricity
bills and all.
Models like Aisha of Star Models, Bola of Few Models, Bunmi
of IrinAjo, Olaniyan Lateef of Adunni couture. Joy Elumelu will talking to would be Actors and Actresses on how to make
it as a Tv Star and in Nollywood, Aju Elumelu, known for her counseling skills
will be doing one on one with individuals. Austen Canon trained instructor from
Studio 24 will be there to teach about photography 101, Hakeem Salaam will talk
with Photographers wannabee’s, Model Polaroid Ghana with Uthman and Model
Polaroid Nigeria with Humphrey will be there to do Polaroid on discount, Best
Model Nigeria CEO will be speaking at the event. Santiago of Miss Tourism
Nigeria and Mr. Universe, Brendan of MR and Miss Nigeria International, will
all be speaking about transiting from beauty queen to modeling. Laura Ikeji
Kanu will be signing her books and speaking to
the models on how to make money on Instagram, MS Ufoma of Recharge and
Get paid will be there to teach us how to make money with recharge cards, Every
top marketer will teach on skills of marketing and she is also a major dealer with Recharge and Get
paid,Peter Finn will take question and answer section, he is the major face of
Italian brand ETRO and his face is seen all over Airports in Italy, Clara Okoro
of Brand World and my Beautiful Africa clothing brand, Temisan, Meg Alabi of
